Some of Year 5 students, Chloe, Andie, Edie, Tahlia, Brooke, Ella, Elisa, Ines, Charlotte and Gabby spent the weekend raising money at a soccer gala day with all of the clubs in the local area competing. They baked lots of yummy things to sell to all of the participating kids and their families to raise money for Bear Cottage in memory of their classmate, Finn.
The girls raised $300 and then met a man with his two young kids who had also been raising money for a whole year. The girls spoke to him about Bear Cottage and why they were raising money and he decided to give them the money ($700!) that he had raised to donate to Bear Cottage as well!
We are so proud of the girls and their great effort!
